Buy new merchandise, direct from Manufacturer, or Distributor. Very few Manufacturer to Local Dealer accounts exists in today’s firearms market. The way firearms transactions commonly work is that Manufacture's sell to Distributors, Distributors sell to Dealers, and Dealers sell to the consumer. It is the retail dealer that performs the Department of Justice (DOJ) required "Dealer Record of Sale" (DROS) background check.
Our easy Seven-Step process ensures that your next firearm is available to you at a price you can afford.
1: Search the internet and local gun stores to find the type of firearms you would like to purchase. Know what you want; detail, detail, detail. We cannot search for you. You will need to determine, Manufacturer's Name, Model Names, Model Numbers, and all other specifics, including, barrel length, size, sights, color, and caliber etc.
2: Email your findings to zirconjohn@igundealer.com . It is also helpful if you provide us with a link to a web site page that shows your gun and model number etc. You may also call Zircon John, please see the "Contact Us" page of this web site.
3: You will then receive a price quote via Email or we can also send it USPS if you prefer. The invoice will be in bid form, it is not yet a sale. If you like our price and decided to purchase the firearm from Zircon John’s we will ensure that your purchase is an efficient, legal, and a pleasant experience.
4: On your invoice is an invoice number. The invoice number is your unique tracking number in my system. The invoice is a detailed line item form with the manufacture name, model name and/or number.
At Zircon John’s we accept many forms of payment: Cash, Personal Checks, Visa, Master Card and Debit Cards. Note: Personal checks are only accepted as payment in full prior to my ordering from a distributor. We do not accept personal checks after the ten (10) day waiting period has begun.
5: The DROS process; schedule an appointment with Zircon John’s FFL for a face-to-face appointment. At this time we will complete the CA. Dept of Justice Dealer Record of Sale (DROS) and various applicable safety and background documentation.
6: The Ca. Dept of Justice will notify Zircon John’s FFL of either an approval for pick-up by you of your firearm, or a denial. The DOJ may also request that a "hold" be put on your purchase because additional information is needed. Note: A “DOJ Hold” may constitute more than a ten-day waiting period.
Upon approval by the DOJ, there is a required ten (10) day waiting period, and you may NOT pick-up your firearm purchase until the ten days has passed. The Dept. of Justice has full control over the "delivery" or "denial" of your firearm. Your approval or denial decisions are based on your background check by The Ca. Dept of Justice and NICS. This firearms NICS system, DOJ background check is a mandatory requirement for the sale, transfer and title of firearms ownership.
When you purchase a firearm, payment in full is required prior to shipment of the firearm from the "wholesaler" to Zircon John’s.
7: We know the paperwork and certifications are extreme, and we certainly appreciate you working with us so that your transaction goes as quickly and smoothly as possible. However the paperwork is necessary to assure that your purchase is in full accordance with Federal ATF , DOJ, and California state laws.
